FOR GROUP & LIST OWNERS

Email Tens of 1000's More Jews
Exclusively YahooGroup List Owners:

We are writing to you today with news of a new feature, exclusively for YahooGroups, developed by www.Mesora.org.

Over the past 8 years, Mesora has harnessed the numbers of Jews worldwide for positive change in the Jewish world:
We created “online voting booths” to vocalize important issues; we gave the Jewish world the ability to write to 400 congress people with one click; and we just launched free live, audible and interactive classes, available from any PC. These are in addition to our regular publication of articles, classes and the weekly JewishTimes.

But what’s even more exciting is what we have accomplished today: We spent the last few weeks researching YahooGroups, and found that each one of you is part of an impressive 1000 “Jewish” YahooGroups. Each one of your groups has anywhere from 50-6000 members. We estimate that among all of your groups, there may be 40,000 Jews subscribed. Add to this number our 40,000+ Mesora subscribers. Imagine, that by working together as a team of group owners, uniting our numbers, we can reach so many Jews with relevant information as it arises. The prospect that each of us (group/list owners) can reach so many Jews, is truly exciting and encouraging.

But here's the problem: Yahoo prohibits multiple, simultaneous emails to YahooGroups list-owners. Nor does Yahoo permit simultaneous postings to many lists. And emailing each of the hundreds of Yahoo Groups owners individually is too time-consuming.

The Problem
So how can we all effectively send one message that will reach every list owner? How can we make this happen?

The Solution:
We ask each one of you to submit your "real email" address (not your YahooGroup email) to a new, exclusive email list at Mesora. Send any email to: Groups-on@Mesora.org

By subscribing your "real email" address to this new list, you enable Mesora to relay all of our collective email messages to each other, in turn, to email our respective subscriber lists. Together, we enable each other to reach a massively increased audience. This list will not be used for emails relating to only regional relevance, but for messages important and relevant to all of these Jews worldwide. We spent many weeks creating this new feature, and we will use our best judgment to assess which emails are appropriate for this entire subscriber base.

There is still much work to do, and we will also be updating the list of groups on the Mesora Groups page. Please take a quick look to see if you are already posted. If not, please send us your group web address ASAP. We want to include as many as possible in this week’s June 24th JewishTimes and our first mass email.

Once you subscribe, every Wednesday, each of you will send us a message pertinent to all these subscribers if you have one. We will format all of your messages and post them to the new Mesora Groups page in the green “DIGEST” areas here: http://www.Mesora.org/Groups
This digest will remain online until your next posting request.

We will notify you via email when the weekly digest is online, and you will then email all of your members in a separate email, a preformatted text message that we will supply, including this new web page address: http://www.Mesora.org/Groups

FREE Publicity for You
Our Mesora website experiences 320,000 yearly visits, and we are growing. Your listing and messages will now share in our traffic;
This new page will be included in our weekly email announcements to our Mesora subscribers, and in your collective emailing to your united 40,000 members. Your listing will serve to increase your membership, not just from exposure to our subscribers, but also from the new traffic created through all of us working together and sending this new page to our respective lists every week;
Mesora will reprint this digest in our JewishTimes Weekly Journal for added publicity for you and your messages;
Finally, the way this will truly succeed: All participating YahooGroup owners and other lists owners will send this link to your members each Friday: http://www.Mesora.org/Groups  as part of a preformatted email that we will send you.

Working together in this fashion, we will all share our important weekly messages with all of our lists, reaching these growing numbers.

Mesora is committed to this new program, and we have already compiled a large list of other Jewish organizations that we will be inviting to join. But don’t let this prevent you from publicizing this page to other group owners you know of. The more this program’s numbers increase, the better it is for all involved.

We’ve done all the legwork, now it’s time for you to join and benefit:

PROTOCOLS

Take a moment right now and follow these 3 steps so you may be included in this week’s posts:

1) Please be a Jewish list or group-owner. Then send any email message from your "regular” email box (not YahooGroups.com email) to: Groups-on@Mesora.org
2) Subscribe “lists@mesora.org” to ‘your’ list for approval, or send an invite to this email to join your group.  Once we receive confirmation of inclusion of this address into your list, you will then be subscribed to the collective Groups emailings, capable of sending posts to our collective numbers!
3) When you have information that is both, important and relevant to the entire subscriber base, please email it to: lists@mesora.org   Send only ONE message a week. Subject line: “Mesora Digest”. 50 word maximum, and commence your message with your YahooGroups name on line #1 of the message body.

Forward this entire email to all other YahooGroups owners, and other Jewish lists owners, asking them to subscribe to: Groups-on@Mesora.org so we can grow our numbers to a realistic, targeted 250,000 Jews.

Working together we can reach so many Jews with our important messages and programs. We look forward to your participation.

Thank you,

Mesora / The JewishTimes
